"October"
U2's second album, originally titled "Scarlet". Often dubbed as "U2's Christian Album". Bono, Larry and The Edge got involved with a Dublin charismatic Christian Group called "Shalom", constantly questioning themselves about whether they could be Christians and still play in a rock 'n' roll band. In March 1981 whilst on tour in the USA, Bono had a briefcase stolen containing money and his notebook with lyrics to new songs. The album failed to make the US album top 100. |
