"Rattle & Hum"
The album was both a soundtrack album to the feature film of "Rattle 'n' Hum" as well as a collection of new songs that U2 had recorded during and after the "Joshua Tree" tour. The title came from a line in "Bullet the Blue Sky". It made the number 1 spot both in the UK and the US album charts, but received a mixed reaction from the music press, because of all the hype prior to the release of the film. Although there was never a "Rattle 'n' Hum" tour to promote the album, U2 did play many ofthe new songs on the album during the Lovetown Tour of Australia and Europe in autumn of 1989. |
