"WIDE AWAKE IN AMERICA"

This four track vinyl EP was released only in America in June 1985.   The title came from a line in "Bad". Though the two live cuts had been recorded in England and not in America.  It entered the US album charts for just one week before being removed as its length was considered too short.  It was, however, reinstated in April 1987 when the CD version reached number 37.

Tracklisting: Lyrics
1. Bad (Live) (8:02)
2. A Sort Of Homecoming (Live) (4:05)
3. The Three Sunrises (3:50)
4. Love Comes Tumbling (4:45)

Release Date: June 1983

Producers: Brian Eno and Tony Visconti

Singles: None

Comments:
This is U2's second EP release.  Vinyl copies were only released in the U.S.A., Japan and Brazil.  The song "A Sort of Homecoming" was not recorded completely live, soundcheck recordings prior to a concert at Wembley Stadium, U.K. were used.
